Since the required spectra analysis method or suitable calibration curves have barely been investigated for deep-sea applications, a method for spectra simulation and evaluation was developed, enabling evaluation of the elemental concentrations even at non-atmospheric conditions. For this, a method for spectra simulation and evaluation was created, containing the simulation of spectra resulting from multi-elemental plasmas, calculation of data sets with spectral characteristics for various plasma pressures, temperatures and elemental concentrations and the estimation of the plasma parameters and the elemental concentrations related to the measured spectra. The spectral data was measured with an Avantes compact spectrometer. The measured data is availible in internal format .RAW8 and as converted .txt files. Metadata of the parameters is availible in xml format. The simulated data of line intensities and widths was generated using Matlab and is stored in a .mat file. In addition the used atomic data is stored.</p>

In these files, the data columns (wavelength, signal, dark signal, reference) are separated by semicolons. The metadata file MetaData-MeasuredSpectra.xml contains the variable parameters of the measurement setup. The folders "Elemental concentration", "Energy dependence", and "Water pressure" contain the measured spectra with varying zinc concentration of the probe, varying laser pulse energy and varying water pressure, respectively. The remaining parameters are fixed each time, as can be seen in the metadata file for the measured data.</p>
