Related to Figure 5 of the paper: Arc intensity (dimensionless) of the Cu I line at 515 nm and the O I line at 777 nm during the contact opening for an arc at 2 A. The contact separation starts at t=0. The arc intensities were obtained by axial and radial averaging of the filtered high-speed images.
